Since Nelson Mandela is featured in the module, write about him. Find more information on him and his struggle fighting against injustice.

Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 in Transkei, South Africa. He became actively involved in the anti-apartheid movement and joined the African National Congress (ANC) in 1942. For 20 years, he directed a campaign of peaceful, non-violent defiance against the South African government and its racist policies. In 1994 he was inaugurated as the country's first black president.

You are a man in black,
Who always care for the blacks,
Everyone wants to have you back,
To fight for the rights which are always lack,

You are always strong and dare,
And the blacks are taken good care,
With all means which no one dare,
And make you very rare,


You are a person who always been admired,
And make the blacks to be always inspired,
You are a chosen one who is specially required,
To bring peace which always been desired.
